Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne acted like nothing ever happened at a special event today, which makes us wonder: Did anything ever actually happen?
Despite Sharon’s assertion that the couple split and the rumors that Ozzy’s cheating drove her to kick him to the curb, the pair reunited for a press event in Los Angeles on Thursday.
The press conference, announcing the merging of Ozzfest and Slipknot’s Knotfest and Black Sabbath’s planed performance at the 20th anniversary of the concert, featured a huge — and odd, under the circumstances — surprise: Sharon herself introducing Ozzy.

Sharon does still manage the band, so she certainly had every right to be there. Under the circumstances, however, her appearance was surprising to say the least.
So what is really going on here? Is savvy Sharon keeping business business and personal separate? Or is there a nefarious mixture of the two going on? At least one person thinks the whole thing might be a publicity stunt to drum up interest in Black Sabbath’s upcoming summer tour.
“Sharon is the queen of publicity stunts, there’s always deliberate drama going on, it maintains interest in them as a family,” a source told Page Six. “She’s a very smart woman, it would be very hard for Ozzy to carry on an affair under her nose without her knowing about it. If it is a stunt, it has got him almost as much press as when he bit that bat’s head off.”
But another insider told Entertainment Tonight that the split is very real and that Sharon found out Ozzy was cheating by hacking his emails.
“Sharon has put up with a lot over the course of their marriage and there have been other dramatic things that have happened with them in the past, but this is the first long-time affair Sharon has found out about,” the source said. “This is an emotional affair — it wasn’t just a one-time hookup. There are feelings there between Ozzy and this woman. This is a double life he’s been leading — and that’s what upset Sharon the most and made her leave him.”
And Sharon’s head for business could actually explain why she showed up to that press conference — or it could explain why she would stage a publicity stunt by making this so public.
“First and foremost, Sharon is a businesswoman,” the source said. “She organizes everything. She’s the family glue. They’re best friends, partners, business partners, so many things. That’s why this split is so hard.”
Let’s face it, Sharon herself has admitted Ozzy has cheated on her in the past, but she excused it because he was high on drugs at the time. Does his sobriety and the emotional aspect make it different this time? Did she decide to turn lemons into lemonade like Beyoncé and take full advantage of the situation by hyping it up? Only she knows for sure — and she certainly wouldn’t spill if she did.
