Most of the original women of RHOBH are long gone, but no matter how much the show changes, viewers can take solace in knowing that Lisa Vanderpump will always be on hand to share her wit and fawn over adorable puppies. Or at least, viewers used to be able to count on Vanderpump returning to the Beverly Hills battlefield. All bets are off now, as the queen bee is rumored to be ditching the show that made her famous.

Vanderpump recently hinted at the possibility of a departure in response to an outraged conversation on Twitter. The super fans involved in this discussion were disappointed with the poor treatment Vanderpump suffered this season, and they claimed that she would be better off without the likes of Lisa Rinna and Eileen Davidson in her life. Vanderpump seemed to agree, but she also appeared reluctant to leave, in part because the show has been such an important part of her life. She added that, while no final decisions have been made, she is definitely having second thoughts about her continued involvement in the Real Housewives world.

If Vanderpump does leave, it certainly would not be the first time that an original woman from the Real Housewives said adios to Bravo. NeNe Leakes shocked us all last year when, after years of claiming to be finished with reality TV (and always returning for more), she finally backed off and became a mere guest on The Real Housewives of Atlanta. If Vanderpump’s recent musing is any indication, Leakes may have launched a new trend in departures.

Although some shows have benefited greatly from cast shakeups, RHOBH is clearly not one of them. Season 6 has largely been deemed the worst season yet, and according to many, it’s all because of Lisa Rinna. Given the fallout from this disaster of a season, it wouldn’t be surprising if Rinna’s continued involvement in the series convinced Vanderpump to leave. If that happens, a lot of viewers will probably ditch the show as well. It just won’t be the same without Vanderpump’s snark, and it could be a hell of a lot worse if Rinna’s given any more than her already inordinate amount of screen time.
