In the midst of her highly publicized legal battle with music producer Doctor Luke, Kesha says she is ready to reclaim her life, self-worth and happiness. The “We R Who We R” singer shared a series of beach photos on Sunday, as well as a powerful message that can inspire strength in all of us.

“I have been battling depression and an eating disorder for a while now,” Kesha captioned one of the Instagram photos. “My career is in a strange place and it feels like I’m fighting an uphill fight some days. But I have decided to take my life back. My freedom. My happiness. My voice. My worth.”

More:Kesha just gave everyone goose bumps with her telling Coachella performance

Kesha appeared to be topless on the beach in the Instagram photos, but warned body shamers to back off before they could even get started.

“I will not just fucking be quiet and hide. Today I will say fuck it and live,” Kesha said. “Today I’m making that choice. AND IM HAPPY AS A DAMN CLAM. And also a big ol fuck u if u wanna hate on my body. Just remember that makes u look like a d***head.”

More:I love Kesha and Zedd’s song already, and I haven’t even heard it

Kesha recently released a new song with Zedd called “True Colors.” The lyrics of the song convey a similar message of strength and determination as her recent post, saying, “All my life / One page at a time / I’ll show you my, my true colors / No, I won’t apologize for the fire in my eyes / Let me show you my, my true colors / It ain’t no rainbow.”

It looks like Kesha is ready to fully embrace the lyrics of her new single and be unapologetically true to herself. We couldn’t be more inspired by and proud of her strength.
