Is it just me, or have Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani always seemed like kind of an odd couple?

And it seems like Shelton is starting to come to that realization himself, based on an interview he gave on the Today show this week about his love of just over six months.
“It’s a little weird,” Shelton admitted on the show. “We could not be, on paper, any more different. I mean, I’m a country singer and she’s a ska, rock, pop, whatever it is… and it’s just an odd idea. But man, it’s a lot of fun. I’ve gotta be honest about that.”
It’s true that the two don’t seem to have much in common. Stefani has kids and Shelton doesn’t. Stefani tends to rock glam outfits and bright lipstick while Shelton is most often spotted in dirty cowboy boots. And physically, they’re an odd pair, too, as Shelton explained during an interview with People this week.
“If you get dressed up the right way, it should be fitted to you,” he said. “But when things are fitted to me, it’s hard for me to disguise man boobs and gut and all that stuff, so it’s all sticking out!”

By contrast to Shelton’s “man boobs and gut,” Stefani is toned and arguably one of the hottest ladies on the planet. Shelton was right when he said their relationship is weird on paper.
But hey, what do we know? They only seem to be going stronger and stronger after being together for the better part of a year. And even though their musical styles are vastly different, their cowritten duet is starting to take off.
Shelton and Stefani may be hella different, but power to them for making it work.
