Does Yolanda Foster really need spousal support from her ex, David Foster? He doesn’t think so.

According to court documents obtained by People magazine, David is asking the court to deny Yolanda’s request that he pay spousal support and all her court fees once their divorce is finalized. The documents also ask that Yolanda not be required to pay any spousal support to David, either.
We have to wonder why Yolanda is asking for spousal support. She has a successful career of her own in the Real Housewives franchise. Even the rest of her family is killing it in showbiz — her daughters are both successful models, and her son is working on a career in music.
So is Yolanda’s request actually motivated by need? Or is revenge at play here? It seems hard to believe considering, for the most part, the divorce has seemed very amicable.

While Yolanda’s difficult Lyme disease diagnosis definitely played a role in her split, she has said that she understands why it became too difficult for David to continue caring for her.
“You can’t underestimate how much it takes for a man to take care of somebody that’s sick all of the time,” she said on an episode of Watch What Happens Live soon after the couple announced their split in December. “David didn’t change; I’m the one that changed. And I guess this is the outcome of that.”
However, Yolanda has said that she felt “blindsided” by the divorce.
“I didn’t think that was the end of the road,” she said. “I would have hoped to wait until I got 100 percent well.”
