After just three years in business, Miranda Lambert closed down her Pink Pistol boutique in the small town of Tishomingo, Oklahoma, but the really interesting part of this story is the property’s new owner: Blake Shelton.

According to E! News, local outlets revealed that Lambert planned to close down the shop in Tishomingo to focus on expanding it at a new location in her home town of Lindale, Texas (she does still have two business ventures in the area: Ladysmith Bed & Breakfast and a no-kill dog shelter called Redemption Ranch). However, Shelton now has his plans for the vacant spot.
“As a resident of Tishomingo, I am very sorry that the Pink Pistol has decided to move its operations out of the area,” Shelton said in a statement to E! News. “We all as a community appreciate everything it has done for our town. As for the actual properties left behind… I was offered the opportunity to buy them, and I have a plan brewing.”

What exactly Shelton has brewing we’re not too sure. Perhaps his choice of words suggests he will be opening a coffee shop? But we’ll have to wait until he releases a new statement about his plans to be sure. One thing we do know is that there is already some chatter about the decision on Twitter — and people are glad to see that Shelton is supporting Tishomingo.

While it’s great that Shelton is so focused on the welfare of his town, Lambert, on the other hand, is looking forward to closing a “chapter to build on a new beginning or go back home.”
In a statement obtained by Taste of Country, Lambert revealed her excitement to be headed home to where it all began.

“It feels full circle to have everything under one ‘roof’ basically where it all began in my hometown of Lindale,” Lambert explained. “I want to send a heartfelt thank you to all the employees who worked hard to help me bring the store in Tishomingo to life, as well as the patrons who came to experience the Pink Pistol and supported the store.”
