Oh dang, Calvin Harris’ canceled shows have made a lot of fans really mad

Last week, Calvin Harris was involved in a car accident in Los Angeles after a 16-year-old female driver in a Volkswagen Beetle convertible reportedly crossed over the center divider and hit the vehicle that Harris was traveling in.

The collision forced Harris to cancel several gigs, and on Thursday night, he took to Twitter to not only apologize for the canceled performances but also share his thoughts on the crash.

“Thank you so much for your messages and sorry to any disappointment I caused with the show cancellations…” Harris tweeted, later following up with a second tweet in which he explained how “lucky and very grateful” he was feeling.

Shortly before Harris’ tweets, a statement was posted on his official Facebook page that explained that he would have to pull out of two more shows, “in Las Vegas at Hakkasan tonight, 5/26 and Omnia tomorrow, 5/27,” because he was “still recovering from the injuries sustained in the car accident last Friday.”

While some fans are wishing Harris a speedy recovery, not everyone is taking the news so well.

“Meanwhile, Dave Grohl still did his full performances after snapping his leg on stage and having it treated. Pussy performers these days,” one commenter wrote.

Other fans point out that it’s not really Harris’ injury that’s causing the problem, but rather the lack of communication from the organizer.

“I’m driving right now — got a babysitter for my 3 little boys,” one upset fan shared. “The husband and I were going to celebrate our 10 year anniversary — we met in Vegas! (Get well) but I am pissed at the ticket people. I want my money back. They could have told us this last fucking night.”

Another commenter shared similar sentiments, writing, “Issue is not the cancellation it’s the short notice by Omnia. Some people have traveled from different countries and drove many miles for nothing.”
