Lauren Conrad hinted at her return to MTV last week with a post on Instagram that showed her being followed by a cameraman. Fans went absolutely crazy at the possibility that their favorite reality TV star would be back on their screens. Today, Conrad confirmed that she’ll definitely be back on MTV, but not the way most fans were hoping.

Fans were slightly disappointed that there wouldn’t be a series that followed Conrad in her life now, which includes books, fashion lines and a successful marriage. But most were ecstatic to hear that she is working with MTV to celebrate the show that launched so many careers (and rumors).
It will be interesting to see Conrad and the cast members speak in full honesty about the show, especially the questions regarding how real the show was. We can all agree that it wasn’t, but to hear Conrad speak openly about it will be fun no matter what.

On her site, Conrad wrote that during the special fans will get to see her and MTV “having an honest conversation about what it was really like living with cameras for so many years (spoiler alert: it was super weird), sharing some behind-the-scene secrets, and showing some of my life today. And since this is all for you, please let me know below if there are any questions you have or if there is anything you would like to see addressed.”

Fans will have all summer to submit questions and anticipate the special. I hope it pulls in huge numbers — enough viewers to convince her to start another series. Not because I want more Conrad; mostly it’s just my way to get Kristin Cavallari back on TV.
