Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani are great together, but the rumors surrounding their relationship are not so great: From engagements to babies, these two have had to deal with it all.

The good news is the couple take the rumors in their stride and aren’t afraid to poke fun at them. But on Wednesday, Stefani decided to clear up the most recent rumors about her relationship once and for all when she called into 94.7 Fresh FM’s The Tommy Show.
“Let’s just take it one day at a time,” Stefani said of the engagement rumors and whether there’s any chance that they will come true in the future, People reports. “Everything’s crazy right now so no, absolutely not.”
Reading a story about yourself being pregnant with twins or having turned down your boyfriend’s proposal must be super annoying, but because Stefani is so awesome, she just finds them entertaining.

“Can you imagine the amount of gossip-y, weird stories people make up?” she said, adding, “To me, it makes me laugh every day. I actually do Google my name just so I can see the next one that’s gonna happen, because it’s gotten so out of control.”
While Stefani manages to see the funny side of the constant tabloid fodder, there is obviously a major negative to it — some people actually believe the stories.
“The best part about it is it’s hilarious; the worst part about it is that some people actually believe that stuff like that is what’s funny,” she admitted.

We all know, and have witnessed, that being a celebrity and living your life in the limelight is not always that great, and if Stefani was to take even half of the things said about her in the media to heart, well, she’d probably be a very unhappy person. But she doesn’t, and perhaps her honesty and humility is one of the reasons she is endeared to us.
