WAGs drama ahead! Barbie Blank spills on Season 2

Season 2 of E!’s reality show WAGs returns in just a few days, and we got the scoop from star Barbie Blank about what’s in store.

The main event? Blank’s wedding will be showcased in all its glory.

“You will get to see everything when it comes to picking out my dress, some bridezilla moments, and the ups and downs of planning a wedding,” Blank teased. “Then, of course, you will see our gorgeous wedding and reception. I can’t wait for the fans to be able to feel like they were there!”

With the wedding, Blank’s friendships will also be tested, “I have just started getting closer to Natalie, Olivia and Nicole over the last year. And I feel like my friendship with Sasha and Autumn has hit a wall. We just aren’t as close as we used to be. So you will have to watch and see how that all plays out on the show.”

As for any drama that went down on her big day, Blank said you’ll have to tune in to find out. But her reference to “bridezilla moments” has us thinking it definitely wasn’t a day free of stress.

Still, Blank is happy with the outcome.

“I love that I’m able to call Sheldon my husband! It’s just an amazing feeling to be able to say this is my husband! And now I get to introduce myself as Barbara Souray; it’s just so exciting!” Blank explained. “There are honestly no struggles. Nothing has really changed except we are now married and he is my husband. We always say it’s like we’ve been married for years even when we were boyfriend and girlfriend. We are best friends and we love that we are able to spend the rest of our lives together.”

Blank also shared with us why she thinks WAGs Season 2 will be so empowering for women to watch.

“I feel like WAGs really shows how hard things are when you date a professional athlete, whether it comes to getting traded and having to pack up your life and move to a new city or having them be on the road and not seeing each other for long periods of time. It is never easy!” she explained. “So the show definitely reveals the ups and down of that. But more than that, it shows the bonds we have with the other wives and girlfriends. At the end of the day, we are a sisterhood together, and no matter what, we always have each other’s backs. We are all going through the same things when it comes to being with a professional athlete.”

Even though there are some moments she wishes she could take back, “Whenever there is alcohol involved, arguments are bound to happen, so of course there are times I wish I would have held my tongue and not been involved in the drama. But that’s what you get when filming a reality show — what you see is what you get!”

Still, Blank doesn’t feel like there is a competition between the women on the show. In fact, she believes it’s all about the women having their own things and celebrating their own lives and successes.

“I am a feminine feminist. I believe very strongly in the power of my feminine essence and all that makes me a lady, woman, girl, broad, goddess — however you say it. I have done things in my life I was never supposed to even dream of doing and been successful at them. That I am a woman doing it makes it all that much more special for me.”
