If only all divorces could end the way Amber Rose and Wiz Khalifa’s did

After almost two years of waiting, Wiz Khalifa and Amber Rose are finally divorced. This may sound like bad news; however, the exes had the most amicable split maybe of all time. Last night, the night before their divorce was finalized, the two visited a strip club together, toasted each other and genuinely had a good time celebrating.

Once you get over how strange it is, you’ll start to think it’s actually really endearing.

Rose tweeted earlier today about how much fun the two had, but made it clear that they were not celebrating their divorce. Instead, she and Khalifa spent the night celebrating their “love 4 each other cuz that never goes away.”

Because the two share a son, Sebastian, 3, it’s important that they get along enough that they can coparent, but it looks like they’ve set the bar higher for their relationship. It’s especially surprising from these two considering the past drama that they have endured.

The end of their 14-month marriage came after Khalifa reportedly cheated on Rose. Rose has done countless interviews since then talking about how horrible finding out was but that she will always love Khalifa, and their celebration is proof that she means that to her core.

Some fans originally hoped that the sighting of the two out having fun together meant that they may be rekindling their relationship, but I think it’s actually a good thing that they aren’t getting back together. They have figured out a way to change their relationship from romantic love to platonic love and are giving their son an example of forgiveness and kindness — a couple of things that all of us could use gentle reminders of.

The real test will come when both Rose and Khalifa move on and form new relationships with other people, but if the past is any indication, they’re going to handle it having fun and respecting the past love they shared.
