Mariah Carey’s next big goal is to tie the knot — if she has time

There’s no denying that Mariah Carey is one busy woman.

She’s filming a reality TV series, starting the second leg of her Las Vegas residency, planning a world tour and raising her twins with her ex-husband, Nick Cannon.

And while Carey has found love once again with Australian billionaire James Packer, when the two will finally walk down the aisle is still a mystery, even though it is “the goal,” as Carey told Sharon Osbourne during a recent interview. So what’s the holdup? According to Carey, there’s “a lot on my plate.”

With everything Carey has going on in her life, it’s no wonder she’s not in any hurry to wed Packer, who will be her third husband. To make matters worse, it sounds like finding love once again came as somewhat of a surprise to Carey — she admits she “wasn’t on the prowl” for a man when she found Packer.

“It’s just you meet people and this guy is really fun,” she explained. “It’s nice.”

Still, she’s too busy to be focusing on her wedding right now, especially as her twins, Moroccan and Monroe, are getting older.

“It’s such a different world for me now that they’re growing up,” she explained. “They have strong personalities. They make me laugh and frustrate me sometimes. They’re not easy but they’re great.”

And don’t expect a wedding while camera crews are still following Carey to film her upcoming docuseries, Mariah’s World. She’s been vocal about her desire to keep her wedding private and not show it on the series.
