ABC’s daytime talk show, The View, is undergoing some cast change-ups, and it’s just been revealed that after one season on the show, comedian Michelle Collins is leaving.

Executive producer Candi Carter confirmed the news in an email to the show’s staff on Thursday, which, according to E! News, read, “I have some bittersweet news to share — Michelle Collins is leaving the show.”
She continued, “A gracious presence on stage and off, she asked smart questions, made us laugh and will always be part of The View family. We wish her great success with some exciting new projects ahead.
“Please join me in thanking Michelle for her hard work, great humor and many contributions this season to The View. She’ll be in the office next week to say goodbye to you personally.”

Collins joined the show as a guest host following Rosie O’Donnell’s exit in early 2015, but was on the show only as an official co-host for a year before the confirmation that she’d be leaving. But what went wrong?
According to Variety, Collins did not leave of her own accord; ABC executives reportedly opted not to renew her contract, according to two sources with knowledge of the talks.
The publication also reports that, according to knowledgeable sources, the new managers for the show “soured on Collins early,” and were displeased with the way she sidetracked the Hot Topics debates with personal stories.

But judging from Collins’ latest Instagram post, she doesn’t seem to be too concerned and looks to be loving life.
