After Joey Feek‘s tragic death from cervical cancer early this year, no one would have blamed her husband and bandmate Rory Feek for taking some time off. Instead, Feek is working so that everyone has the options for end-of-life care that Joey did, and he’s made a documentary in her memory called To Joey With Love. He presented the trailer for the film in a Senate hearing room in a screening hosted by the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization, says The Washington Post. Not surprisingly, there wasn’t a dry eye in the house.

Feek’s film joined a screening of Being Mortal, a PBS documentary that looks into hospice care. The family’s firsthand experience certainly lends a human voice to the cause. “I’ve been given the opportunity to not only live a great life together, but to watch someone end a great life and be part of that,” Feek told the Post. “Instead of being a complete wreck, I’ve been encouraged, and part of that is that she had the opportunity to do it the way she wanted to.”
