Apparently when Chelsy Davy thinks back on her relationship with Prince Harry, it wasn’t all sunshine and roses.
Davy met Prince Harry in 2004 and they immediately hit it off. For the next six years, the pair had an on-again, off-again relationship that Davy eventually had to walk away from because, to her, the entire thing was too much to handle.
But it wasn’t the relationship itself that was difficult — it was the constant media attention and scrutiny around it.

Davy said, “It was so full-on: crazy and scary and uncomfortable. I found it very difficult when it was bad. I couldn’t cope. I was trying to be a normal kid and it was horrible.”

Davy also admitted that when the couple finally called it quits for good, she had to hide away in her home country of Zimbabwe to escape the madness. She said, “It was nuts. That’s also why I wanted to go back to Africa. Now it’s calm, it’s fine.”
It’s sad to see that we haven’t gotten any better about the way we treat people in the public eye. We may have even gotten worse about it.

Luckily, nothing happened to either Davy or Prince Harry. And the two have even found a way to remain close six years after their split. Davy said, “I think we will always be good friends.”
