It’s no secret that I’m not the world’s biggest fan of the Duggars (what up, all you people on Twitter who tweet rude things at me every time I write about them!). But today’s Duggar news is just completely ridiculous, fam.

Why, oh why, does anyone care what the Duggar women wear when they work out?
Seriously, we’ve been through this before. It’s no secret that the Duggars all seem to hit the gym regularly, and that weightlifting is a big part of the routine that keeps them all in great shape. It’s also no secret that their faith demands modesty and a certain kind of attire for women, and for that reason, many of the Duggar women wear skirts even when they work out. Every time one of them posts a pic or vid from the weight room, we see it. And every time one of those photos hits the net, we also see the backlash from weirdos on the internet who have nothing better to do than freak out that someone might choose to work out in a skirt. Seriously, what do you care?

But people do care. They care a lot. And they take to the comments to tell the world that they care, demanding that whichever Duggar of the day change the way she works out. Today, it’s Jessa, who appeared in a photo on the family Facebook page, lifting weights in a long-sleeved T-shirt, a black skirt and black flats.
“Leg day in ballet flats? If you won’t put on some pants, at least put on some appropriate shoes,” one commenter demanded. “Can she not wear long shorts or tennis shoes??” Another asked. Yeah, she probably can. But she doesn’t want to, or she would. Look, problem solved.
