Nikki is refreshingly candid about her relationship with fellow WWE star John Cena. She’s been open about wanting to get engaged for some time, but now, she chats about obstacles in their relationship, from sexist fans to different life priorities.

When the two first started dating, she says, she caught hate from the fans: “People thought I was such a gold digger… Because my man is handsome and successful, that makes me a gold digger? First of all, I pay my own bills and I still pay my own bills. But if your man is gonna give you a gift, you’re gonna accept it. I’m not gonna be like, ‘No, can you please take back the Louis Vuitton purse?’ Absolutely not.”

She’s equally open about her desire to get married ASAP. “I have to remind [Cena] when I get hit on, ‘I got hit on because no one saw a ring.’ The good thing is, he’s more open to marriage now — kids, unfortunately, no,” she says. “When I envision having my life without John, it hurts more than having a life without kids.”

As for her career, she’s planning to have the “comeback of a lifetime” after she’s fully recovered from a neck injury. In the meantime, the twins have created Birdiebee, a lingerie line that aims to “educate women and girls about feminine health” and will donate a pair of underwear to women in need for every item sold. The message: Don’t count these twins out just because they’re out of the ring.
