Michael Strahan isn’t joining Good Morning Americafull time until September, but according to Page Six, his new co-workers might spend the summer worrying about what his presence may mean for the show. Strahan “does not want to do gun violence,” says an insider of his propensity to cover light fare and lifestyle stories. Unfortunately, the fun stuff is also co-hosted by Lara Spencer.

Will the new gang be able to get along? Apparently not, according to an insider who claims there will be all sorts of shuffling come fall. “There are big changes coming to GMA,” said the source. “Lara could be out, and George will be seen less at the main anchor desk with Robin Roberts. Instead, Michael will be appearing more while George focuses on politics and hard news.” There’s nothing like a new co-worker to spice things up around the office. When you’re on TV, it just means we all get to watch the drama unfold.

Obviously, GMA spokeswoman Heather Riley says that these rumors are baseless and the show will be drama-free as usual. (Just as drama-free as Live! perhaps?) “There is no truth to this,” She told Page Six. “Of course, George will be focused on politics, and no one is being groomed to take his place. Lara isn’t going anywhere, and Amy will have the same important role on the show as she has for the past three years.” We’ll believe that in September…
