Nick Jonas & Demi Lovato honored Pulse nightclub employees with a VIP night

Demi Lovato and Nick Jonas had a bittersweet tour stop this weekend. On the pair’s Orlando tour stop, they invited Pulse nightclub employees to watch the show from a VIP suite, according to E! News. Lovato and Jonas performed “Rise Up” in front of the Pulse victims’ names and ages in remembrance.

A group photo on the Pulse Orlando Facebook page thanked the stars for “making the Pulse family smile.” The caption continued, “We will rise and not be defeated! #?onepulse #?pulseorlando”

Jonas also shared a photo from the night, writing, “Orlando you were incredible last night. Thank you @andradaymusic for helping DEMI and I are honor the victims of the terrible acts of violence recently. #riseup #hondacivicfuturenowtour.”

In case her respect wasn’t clear, Lovato even wrapped herself in a rainbow flag for her tribute. The stars also honored fallen Voice contestant Christina Grimmie during the show.

Jonas and Lovato also met with the Pulse team before the show and posed for plenty of photos with the group. One wrote, “Amazing show! And an even better tribute to those who lost their lives due to hate. #OrlandoUnited #OnePulse.”

Jonas and Lovato will continue their tour up the East Coast, performing in Rhode Island, New Jersey and New York in the coming weeks.
