The dirty thirties! Vanderpump Rules‘ star Tom Sandoval turned 33 recently, and in true SUR staff fashion, he celebrated the occasion with an epic bash. Last Thursday, Sandoval, along with most of his VPR co-stars, hit up Busby’s East in Los Angeles. In addition to getting wasted (we’re assuming), Sandoval did something seriously impressive: He had a “Fund-Rager” that raised almost ten grand for Project Elev8, a charity that helps build schools and improve education in Haiti. Think what you want of Sandoval (plenty of people do), but how many of us can say we did that at our birthday party?

Of course, Sandoval’s philanthropy wasn’t the only noteworthy aspect of his party. Here are 7 amazing things that happened at Tom Sandoval’s birthday soirée that every die-hard VPR fan needs to know. It’s safe to say that if it’s a SUR party, it’s a good party.

1. Queen Lisa Vanderpump graced the kids with her presence
Chances are they were filming if the entire SUR crew and Lisa Vanderpump were there, but come on now. You know you’re a baller if LVP attends your party.

2. Kristen Doute was in attendance
Of course Kristen Doute was there. It was a party! Whether she was actually invited or not, no one knows. (Any self-respecting VPR fan can recall how pissed Sandoval was when it was suggested Doute go on a trip that celebrated his and Jax Taylor’s birthdays last year, so who knows. The two seem to be cordial now, but it’s still pretty surprising to see her there.)
3. Lala Kent wasn’t there (but James Kennedy was)
The only Vanderpump Rules‘ star who wasn’t at Sandoval’s birthday was Lala Kent. Of course, she may have already had plans, but that’s not likely. Who turns down an invite to Sandoval’s party?! Unless, of course, they hate everyone invited to Sandoval’s party, which definitely could be the case.
That said, James Kennedy was there with his new lady, Raquel Leviss. And so far no reports of a massive brawl between him and Jax Taylor, who was also there. #progress
4. Stassi Schroeder was there
Has the group finally let Schroeder back in their collective arms with a warm embrace? Let’s hope so, because that will mean more Stassi in Season Five.
5. Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright are still together
Who knew they’d last this long?! But yep, these two lovebirds were at the party together. Stay strong, guys!
6. Sandoval wore his hair in braids for the party
So there was that.
7. Scheana & Mike Shay were there… and Mike looks like a different person
Unless you follow either one of them on Instagram, you probably had no idea what Mike looks like these days. Spoiler alert: Incredible. Clearly things are going well for him, and he’s on the straight and narrow. Hopefully he enjoyed his buddy’s birthday party sober… and was able to laugh at all the wasted people who were making asses of themselves.
And hopefully Bravo got everything on film so the rest of us can too.
