Heather Dubrow didn’t bash anyone, she just asked Teresa Giudice to be an adult

Although the Real Housewives of any city are able to find drama anytime they want to within their own cast, it’s rare that they start fighting with women from other franchises. But it looks like Heather Dubrow, from TheReal Housewives of Orange County, has some fighting words for Teresa Giudice, from TheReal Housewives of New Jersey.

Dubrow stopped by Watch What Happens Live to address the rumors that she had bashed Giudice. She maintained that she wasn’t trying to slam anyone with insults, she was simply trying to answer a question she was asked.

Dubrow told host Andy Cohen, “What I said was that I think that Teresa — I don’t know Teresa — but I think that she seems very nice and she really seems like a great mother. But what I’ve seen of the coverage is that she came back from prison talking a lot about yoga and her diet and I think a lot of people would like to hear about accountability and remorse.”

She finished by saying, “That was my comment and I think honestly in the scheme of things that was pretty benign.”

And she’s totally right. From the very beginning, everyone’s big problem with Giudice is her inability to take responsibility for any of her actions but especially the ones that landed her in jail. She hasn’t apologized, sincerely, for anything that she’s done to the people around her.

Giudice has said before that in her family, she was taught to always keep a brave face and don’t let other people know about the problems within the family. Unfortunately, not talking about her life has also prevented her from feeling remorse and that’s annoying.

More than that, it’s time that women both encourage each other as well as demand the best from each other. Part of being supportive is knowing when to tell someone that they’re not being the best version of themselves and Dubrow understands that. She knows that Giudice can be great, but she has to start with being honest, accountable and remorseful for the pain she’s caused her daughters, her family and herself.
