Miley Cyrus isn’t talking publicly about her engagement, but her dad is

It’s pretty much accepted that Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth are back together after their breakup. Even if they are trying to keep themselves out of the public eye, they’ve been spotted together enough times for people to piece together the truth. But if that weren’t enough to convince someone, Cyrus’ dad, Billy Ray, is happy to confirm any detail about the couple’s relationship.

Billy Ray is busy promoting his new CMT show, but it seems like the only thing he wants to talk about is Miley. In an interview with In Touch, he spent almost the entire time gushing about Miley. He said, “I love that she and Liam are so happy right now. Happy is hard to find. So if you’re in a good spot, woo! Bam! And Miley knows that.”

He also admitted that seeing his daughter happy is the greatest thing ever. In any other situation, that would be a super-sweet sentiment. I think we all have a soft spot for doting dads who gush about their children’s happiness. But since he’s the only person talking about the relationship, it’s getting weird now.

Hemsworth and Miley haven’t even officially said they are together, so it takes the pressure off of their relationship. By not inviting the public into the new chapter in their relationship, they get to avoid everyone’s opinions and input.

But because Billy Ray can’t stop talking about it, he’s like Tom Cruise jumping on the couch in this situation, except it’s more uncomfortable because he’s not in the relationship.

If I were in Miley’s shoes, I don’t know if I could be as graceful as she’s being about his comments. Who knows what she’s saying to him in private, but she should be telling him to shut up when he’s talking in public.
