In an appearance on The Kelly File, comedian D. L. Hughley got into a heated conversation with Megyn Kelly on Fox News over racism in the wake of last week’s tragic shootings. He came prepared to speak out about the killings of Philando Castile, Alton Sterling and the police murders in Dallas, and the two ended up in a debate where Hughley let Fox have it.

Hughley spoke up about the way police are treated in the United States. “It is my belief that no matter what happens, no matter what we see, the cops are given a presumption of innocence,” he said. “If that same tape showed a suspect doing something, that would be all the prosecution would need. They would say, ‘the evidence is all right here.’ But a cop gets a presumption of innocence.”

Hughley moved on to discussing the way the media, especially Fox News, has covered the shootings. Understandably, this is where things really got heated. “The only place racism doesn’t exist is Fox News and the police department,” he said sarcastically.
When Kelly jumped to defend her network and its viewers, Hughley wasn’t having it. “You know what? I’m insulted by the things I hear on this network, so we’re even,” Hughley said. “I could care less about insulting people who insult me on a daily basis.”
