Amy Schumer reveals that her first sexual experience wasn’t consensual

Amy Schumer has always seemed to be extremely open and honest about her sex life. However, she recently shared an untold story about her first sexual experience that is far too relatable for many women, revealing that it was not consensual.

“My first sexual experience was not a good one. I didn’t think about it until I started reading my journal again. When it happened, I wrote about it almost like a throwaway. It was like, And then I looked down and realized he was inside me,” Schumer told Marie Claire for the magazine’s August issue.”He was saying, ‘I’m so sorry’ and ‘I can’t believe I did this.'”

Schumer revealed that she doesn’t feel the need to punish this man now for what he did, saying, “This was 17 years ago. There are just so many factors.”

No matter what factors were involved, no one who has an unwanted sexual experience should ever feel like it is their fault or they are to blame. No means no, always.

The actress also revealed to the magazine that this incident at age 17 was unfortunately not her only unwanted sexual experience.

“I had another time with a boyfriend where I was saying, ‘No, stop,’ and it was just completely ignored,” Schumer said.

Schumer went on to comment on rape culture, saying, “You know, with the rape survivor, it’s not just shaming, it’s fury. It makes people so mad if you’re not a perfect victim.”

The actress and comedian says the men from these experience are no longer a part of her life. She is now in a happy, healthy relationship with her current boyfriend, Ben Hanisch.

“I feel like Ben is the first guy who’s really been my boyfriend,” Schumer revealed to Marie Claire. “There are guys who, if they heard me say that, would want to punch me in the face, but yeah, it’s the truth.”

Schumer also recently opened up to Vogue about her relationship with Hanisch, saying, “We’re in love. And we’re still in total honeymoon phase. It’s a real relationship. Who knows what will happen, but we’re real good right now.”
