The Real Housewives of New Jersey fans have witnessed how volatile Melissa Gorga and Teresa Giudice‘s relationship is, but things have really changed.

Prison appears to have made Giudice reprioritize; she’s now firmly focused on family and rebuilding broken relationships, and the latter is something which the two women vowed to do during Sunday’s episode of The Real Housewives of New Jersey.
“Someone’s bashing me – you stick up for me,” Giudice said during the episode, People reports. “And I promise you, I will too. Promise.”
“Ditto,” Gorga responded. “From here on out, that’s the way we roll.”
In fact, Giudice and Gorga appear to have forged a genuine bond because while they were cleaning dishes after Gorga’s Christmas Eve celebration, Gorga even confessed that she loved Giudice, “like a true sister.”
“I want us to get back to how we were when you first met Joey and when you guys first got married,” Giudice told Gorga. “I know how my brother is — he’d love for us to get close. I know that would make him happy.”
And Gorga felt the same way. But she wants more than that, she wants to mend her relationship with Giudice not for her husband, but rather to have a real connection with her. In the episode, the two women are brutally honest with each other, which may actually be just what their relationship needs: some hard-hitting truths.

The problem for Gorga is that she sometimes feels like Giudice “put this wall up with me. You don’t let me in and I want to be your family — I want to help you.”
“Sometimes I feel like it’s surface like we can’t really get there all the way,” she continued. “I feel like I’ve tried to pull you next to me and you weren’t reciprocating.” To which Giudice revealed that she wasn’t always certain that Gorga was being genuine, but if she is, she will feel it.
Hmm, looks as though the feud between these two women may finally be over? The closeness between Gorga and Giudice was clearly evident during their recent appearance on Access Hollywood Live, which saw Giudice storm off the set abruptly, and Gorga follow suit (we suspect in solidarity).
But will it last? Well, we hope so.
