According to reports, co-host Paula Faris is about to be looking at a pink slip from the show. A source told Page Six that Faris will be fired before the start of the fall season.
“ABC News was hoping [Paula] would bring a more conservative perspective to the show because she’s a conservative Christian. But she doesn’t own her opinions and the audience never connects with anyone who’s pretending,” a source told the site. “ABC News did research and Paula scored some of the lowest numbers ever that the network had seen.”
Upset viewers took to Twitter to vent about losing Faris, but there, they found a glimmer of hope. To one fan who tweeted his support for Faris, she replied, “Don’t believe everything you read… I’m not going anywhere.”

Faris isn’t the only one denying the claims. Another source close to The View told Page Six that the rumors were bogus.
“I haven’t heard anything about any research,” the second source said. “She works hard and everyone loves Paula. She’s a journalist. Her job is to be objective. She was never brought to the table to have the same role as Joy Behar.”
A rep for the show also said viewers can expect to see Faris at the table when The View starts its fall season.
“Paula is a great addition to the team, and she’ll absolutely be back as a co-host next season,” the rep said.
