Legendary British actor Sir Roger Moore announced the devastating news today that his beloved stepdaughter, Christina Knudsen, had lost her battle with cancer and passed away at the age of 47. The 88-year-old actor, who is best known for being the man who took over the role of James Bond after Sean Connery, let his social media followers know the heartbreaking news via his Twitter. He shared a tweet saying, “We were all with her, surrounding her with love, at the end,” along with a beautiful photo of Christina.

Moore referred to Christina as “Flossie,” which is a nickname he used for her. She wasn’t his biological daughter, but they were obviously extremely close. Christina was the daughter of his fourth wife, Kiki Tholstrup. The pair married in 2012.
Christina was an extremely educated woman
Christina graduated from the University of Southern California. She majored and received her BA in literature and psychology.

Christina was a pioneer
Christina was actually the founder of a dating agency called Ochun in 2014. She made it for adventurers who travel after splitting from her husband. Being Scandinavian herself and living in France, she was used to the pitfalls that come with relationships on the go.
Christina was an equestrian
Christina owned seven horses and was actually considered for the New Zealand equestrian team in the Rio Olympics.

Roger has been with UNICEF since 1991. According to People, Queen Elizabeth II named him a Commander of the Order of the British Empire in January 1999 and a Knight Commander of the Order of the British Empire in June 2003. Christina was also a part of the organization and created Global Guardians.
Hopefully this family can continue to lean on one another and the support of fans. Christina was obviously loved and adored. Our thoughts are with the Moore family at this sad time.
