Aaron Rodgers totally dismissed his brother’s Bachelorette comments

For someone who doesn’t want to talk about the drama he has with his brother, Jordan Rodgers sure does mention his brother Aaron a lot. Almost every episode of The Bachelorette this season Jordan has talked about how he doesn’t want to talk about his professional-football-playing brother, Aaron Rodgers.

It was sorta getting uncomfortable because you knew that at some point Aaron was going to see or hear about the whole mess and have an opinion about it.

And today, Aaron finally broke the silence about the show, and it actually made things more awkward. He told WISN 12 News, “I haven’t seen the show, to be honest with you, so it hasn’t really affected me a whole lot.”

Which loosely translates as, Aaron has an important career and too much money and fame to deal with a reality show his younger brother Jordan is on.

Ouch.

When the interviewer pressed for more information on the nature of the brothers’ relationship, Aaron said, “As far as those kinds of things go, I’ve always found that it’s a little inappropriate to talk publicly about some family matters, so I’m just — I’m not going to speak on those things, but I wish him well in the competition.”

He probably didn’t mean it as a jab, but calling Jordan’s quest to find love with The Bachelorette’s JoJo Fletcher a competition, probably didn’t feel great for Jordan (or JoJo).

I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I do feel bad for Jordan. The producers of the show probably forced him to talk about his brother as often as he does. If it were up to him, he may not have even mentioned it — at least not in every episode.

I mean, who wants their family drama aired out in front of the world?

But now that it’s out there and his brother has commented on it, Jordan definitely looks like the one who was desperate for attention, and Aaron just doesn’t have time to give it to him. That’s probably not how their relationship actually is, but to us outsiders, it certainly looks worse now that Aaron has said his piece.
