Scott Disick may not be the first person who comes to mind when you think Father of the Year, but the parenting advice he gave to expectant father Rob Kardashian is actually pretty great.
“I just told him not to get ahead of himself,” Disick told E! News in a new exclusive interview. “Take every day like it’s a new day, start fresh, be present, be happy, and you know, have a positive energy and a positive vibe so your child comes into the world with a positive energy.”

Disick also revealed that he thinks Kardashian is going to be a great dad, saying, “I think he’s going to be unbelievable. He’s got one of the biggest hearts I’ve ever seen. He’s just an amazing guy, and I’m so happy for him.”
As a father of three young children, Disick is probably a good source of practical parenting advice. He says he’s definitely been showing Kardashian the ropes.

“Rob is like my brother and I love him more than anybody in the world,” Disick revealed. “I’ve been around with him and helping out where he needs help and kind of showing him the ropes of what it’s going to be like to be a new dad.”
Disick also revealed something about the close-knit nature of the Kardashian/Jenner family that resonated with me. As someone who is extremely close with their cousins and basically considers them siblings, it warms my heart to hear that Kardashian/Jenner clan feels the same way about extended family.

“We’re all such a close-knit family that all of our kids are more like brother and sister and not just cousins. It’s bigger than ‘just cousins,'” Disick shared. “We all live within each other’s lives, so yeah, it’s like everyone is like everybody’s [child]. So it’s not going to be different when Rob and Chyna have their kid, that’s going to be a sister or a brother to my kids.”
