Am I a bad person for agreeing with Chad about Bachelorette‘s JoJo and Jordan?

Chad Johnson has some opinions about Bachelorette’s newest couple, JoJo Fletcher and Jordan Rodgers. He opened up to Extra today and gave his prediction about the future of the couple. I’ll let you guess whether his prediction is favorable.

If you guessed no, you’d be right. Specifically, he said, “We’ll see how long that lasts. It will last until the money dies off, then it will fizzle out.”

His reasons? He thinks Rodgers has been a fake the whole time. Johnson said, “Even his ex-girlfriend said he was just looking for fame. Everything out of the guy’s mouth was just what he thought would sound good on camera.”

And here’s the part where I’m going to risk all my credibility. I agree with Johnson. I don’t think Fletcher and Rodgers are going to last. Rodgers has been trying to catch his big break for years now. When the football thing didn’t work out, he tried his hand at acting in Pitch Perfect 2 (as a Green Bay Packer).

That clearly didn’t work out for him either, so a reality show seemed like the next avenue to try. A reality show, by the way, where he mentioned his more famous brother in every single episode.

If you believe there’s someone for everyone, then there is a chance that Fletcher and Rodgers were made for each other. But I just don’t think he’s done being a young famous guy yet.

Throughout the season, Rodgers avoided any of the serious questions Fletcher threw at him, basically saying, “We’ll see when we get there.” That doesn’t sound at all like a guy who wants to get married next year.

He sounds like a guy who knows he’s about to have his 15 minutes of fame, and he doesn’t want to mess it up by promising plans he doesn’t intend to keep.

On the other hand, it’s a reality show, and we only know as much as the producers show us. Maybe in the next couple of months, we’ll get to see the real Rodgers and he won’t seem as narcissistic. I really want that to be true, anyway, because I don’t want to have to ever say Johnson was right.
