Miley Cyrus is usually bigger than life, but her wedding will be anything but

Miley Cyrus isn’t exactly known for being understated, but a little change of style might be exactly the missing ingredient that makes her relationship work. According to Us Weekly, she’s going with a small wedding to marry her beau, Liam Hemsworth. That’s not quite the Coachella-esque, pink wig-worthy wedding we would imagine for her, but who says we shouldn’t make compromises for love?

A source tells Us Weekly that “[planning] is going great.” The couple plans to wed on the beach in Hemsworth’s native Australia, where they’ve been spending the majority of their time since getting back together last December. (The on-again, off-again pair has been together for four years and first got engaged in 2012.)

The couple is also going low-key and skipping the registry. The source claims that “Miley and Liam do not want gifts. They’re going to ask all of their guests to donate to a charity of their choosing.” Knowing Cyrus, she’ll take full advantage of the happy occasion to raise awareness for her own charity, The Happy Hippie Foundation, which supports homeless and LGBT youth.

Although they’re keeping the guest list small, a few celebs — think her father, Billy Ray Cyrus — will likely be there to watch the couple tie the knot. Cyrus’ godmother, Dolly Parton, even threw a little (accidental?) shade the bride’s way. Parton told Us Weekly, “If she ever decides to really go and do it, I’d love to be there!” Until we hear otherwise, we’ll have a little more faith in the newly happy couple.
