Teresa Giudice might not want to see what Jacqueline Laurita wrote about her

Jacqueline Laurita and Teresa Giudice have a very complicated friendship. On this season of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, the women decided that they were going to give each other a fresh start and try to rebuild the relationship they once had. I think that pact lasted about two weeks.

On her Bravo blog, Laurita wanted to discuss Giudice and the way she talks about rumors and tabloids. During last week’s episode Siggy Flicker wanted to approach Giudice about a rumor she had heard and Laurita told her not to do it. Laurita knew first hand what could happen if Giudice felt attacked by tabloid rumors.

She wrote in her blog, “I advised Siggy not to even ask Teresa about the tabloid rumors because I’ve learned from the past that Teresa doesn’t like to be questioned about them. Even if she is the one giving the information to the tabloids for a little extra money or for any other reason.”

On the show, Flicker ignored Laurita’s advice and did approach Giudice. To Laurita’s surprise, it went well. She wrote, “I was shocked but pleasantly surprised to hear Teresa was much calmer and not as defensive about Siggy’s inquiry as she had been with mine.”

Laurita could have stopped there. The first part was catty, but these women aren’t always known for taking the high road. If she had stopped at her praise for Giudice’s personal growth everything would be fine. But that’s not what happened.

She continued with, “I thought maybe now she finally understood why, as a friend, I had asked her about the tabloids that were saying there was a possibility of her going to jail, and that she had finally put it behind her and would never bring it up again. Yeah right. If you have not seen the previews for next week yet…stay tuned. One step forward, two steps back.”

I understand Laurita’s frustration. She does seem to get the worst treatment from Giudice when she’s trying to do her best to be a supportive friend and get to the truth. Laurita leads a very honest and open life and to have a friend who doesn’t share those same beliefs would be really difficult to deal with.

But it doesn’t sound like she wants to be open with Giudice here, it sounds like she just wants to be right. She wants Giudice to admit that she shouldn’t have blown up at Laurita all those years ago.

I’m not even friends with these ladies and I know that’s never going to happen.

The best bet is for Laurita to let go of her need to be right and just enjoy Giudice for who she is. That means just stop throwing shade or needing to be right. She should just decide that she’s letting go of the past and get to know this new, improved Giudice.
