Looks like Derick Dillard’s super-stylish man bun is here to stay, my friends

Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard have returned from their missionary trip to Central America. They’ve returned to Arkansas excited to hang out with their family and friends, and they brought a very special souvenir back with them — Derick’s man bun.

Jill and Derick have each shared photos to their Instagram that show Derick’s stylish hairdo. It’s not quite a top bun that we’ve all gotten used to from the hipsters who love the style, but it’s a conservative, well-kept version, which fits him perfectly.

When you think of Derick, you don’t immediately think hipster. For one, he isn’t the kind to have a vape or an exhausting opinion of every craft beer in Brooklyn. But he’s also not the kind to express any real interest in fashion or style. That said, it looks great on him. It’s much more interesting than the staple Southern swoop hairstyle he had when we first met him.

What we’re still waiting to hear is whether or not Jill likes his new look. It’s definitely different from how most of the other people in her life look, but maybe that’s a good thing. If he likes it and it’s bringing him confidence, I’m sure she loves it.

Or she could be busy focusing on her family and continuing her mission back in Arkansas.

Even though the couple is back on American soil, they’re not done with their work in Central America. The couple wrote on their blog, “We believe our labors until now will serve as a strong foundation for many years of wonderful ministry in the days to come. Even while we are in the United States we will continue to work on behalf of the ministry and the work in Central America will continue.”

At least they’re going to look great while they do their work. We vote Derick keeps the man bun. Maybe until their next baby comes?
