It’s only been two days since Dwayne Johnson posted to his Instagram about his “candy ass” male costars on the set of Fast 8, but they’ve already apologized to him. While many speculate that Johnson was talking about Vin Diesel, Johnson isn’t naming names. He’s just saying that everything is all good.

According to People, the “tension has been building up for months.” Their source said, “Vin has been having problems with The Rock because The Rock keeps showing up late for production. Sometimes he doesn’t show up at all and he’s delaying the production.”
But other sources say that the problem is with Diesel’s diva behavior, including one day that he sat in his trailer all day and didn’t get any work done.
But all it took was a couple of insults thrown on Instagram and all is well again.

In his post today, Johnson said, “You guys reading this know how much I believe in the idea of TEAM EFFORT. That means respecting every person, their time and their value when they step on to my set or partner with our production company. And like with any team — that’s a family — there’s gonna be conflict.”
He continued, “Family is gonna have differences of opinion and fundamental core beliefs. To me, conflict can be a good thing, when its followed by great resolution. I was raised on healthy conflict and welcome it. And like any family, we get better from it.”

Because Fast 8 will be the first movie entirely without Paul Walker, it’s important that it goes smoothly. Fans have stuck by the franchise for more than a decade — the cast members owe it to their fans not to ruin it with petty behavior or huge egos.
It looks like they’re back on track now, so let’s hope it stays that way.
