Paulie Calafiore’s crying tactic to get sympathy from the Big Brother house is just uncomfortable

Paulie Calafiore did not win the Power of Veto in the Big Brother house tonight. So he knows, like the rest of us know, he’s going home tomorrow. Unless something crazy happens and he gets some miracle lifeline, the house is going to send him packing.

Despite knowing what’s coming, he still can’t get himself to try to win votes in his favor. He says it’s because he can’t bring himself to campaign against his “boy” Corey Brooks, but I think it’s because he can’t admit to himself that he’s lost all the influence in the house and doesn’t want to be exposed.

What he did feel comfortable doing, though, was spending time in the confessional chair crying, literally, about his competitive spirit, the fact that he loves Brooks so much, and the ultimate confession — that he thinks the Big Brother house has brought out the worst in him.

We can confirm, yes, without a shadow of a doubt, his worst side is all that he has shown during his time on Big Brother.

He’s been disrespectful, dishonest, untrustworthy, disloyal and arrogant since week two. If that is not who he is outside of the house, it’s truly unfortunate because he’s going to have a hard time changing people’s minds about him.

This is the second episode in a row that Calafiore has been shown crying about his impending eviction, which is seriously uncomfortable to watch. We’ve gotten used to this completely cut-throat player who doesn’t have any compassion for anyone in the house, and seeing him get emotional over his eviction is just weird.

When people are highly competitive the way he claims to be, they’re either angry or continue their arrogant ways. Calafiore full-on crying is totally unexpected and it comes off a little disingenuous, too.

It’ll be interesting to see how he takes the news tomorrow, because either he’s going home or Brooks is. If he’s crying this much over the thought of it, he’s going to really have trouble when it actually happens.
