I’m sure all Real Housewives of New Jersey fans thought the intervention trip staged for Jacqueline Laurita and Teresa Giudice would go as badly as that time they sat on the deck discussing the tabloids. So, it was surprising to see that the mini-vacation turned out to be filled with laughter, smiles, jokes and reconciliation — for now, that is.
More: RHONJ‘s Teresa Giudice and Jacqueline Laurita intervention will end horribly
That’s right: Jacqueline and Teresa have rekindled their friendship. They’ve let bygones be bygones, Jacqueline apologized for saying harsh things to Teresa and Tre accepted it with open arms. I waited for some type of fight to break out, but it never happened. How is this possible? These two avoided drama for an entire trip? Talk about progress.
As disappointing as it may be for fans (because who doesn’t love a little drama?), it’s great to see Teresa and Jacqueline moving forward rather than backward. It’s about time they’ve put the past in the past. Lucy and Ethel might actually be back for good.
That said, it just seems too good to be true. Something is going to happen that just might ruin their newfound friendship, right? I hate to think negatively, but Jacqueline and Teresa usually follow the same pattern when it comes to drama and their relationship.
Plus, Jacqueline’s paranoia started to show even more during the intervention trip. Her mind always goes to a bad place and she thinks the worst. For example, Melissa Gorga and Dolores Catania were having a private conversation, which then turned into Jacqueline assuming they were talking about her and Teresa. She even tried to read their lips from afar.
More: RHONJ‘s Teresa Giudice will probably drive Melissa & Jacqueline apart
Yes, Melissa and Dolores were discussing them, but nothing bad. They said how they hope the two continue to move forward and just keep the past behind them. That’s it. Jacqueline even said to their faces, “Secrets don’t make friends.” Then, at the end of the episode, Melissa and Dolores were supposedly whispering, and Jacqueline freaked out about it.
Thankfully, Siggy Flicker stepped in and told Jacqueline to relax and, if they or anyone else were really talking about her, to just brush it off. As Melissa smartly pointed out in her private interview, “Jacqueline is her own worst enemy” thanks to her paranoia. Eventually, Jacqueline realized she was overreacting and that she needs to stop thinking so much and just live in the moment.
Here’s hoping Jacqueline puts her paranoia on the back burner. Otherwise, it’s going to come back to bite her in the ass. Not only might it ruin her friendship with Teresa, but it might cause drama with the other ladies.
There’s a good chance her paranoia won’t resurface again in Season 7 and that Tre and Jacqueline will continue walking down a smooth path of friendship, but this is RHONJ, so probably not. Or maybe my paranoia is just getting the best of me.
Though there is still the moment of Jacqueline in the GIF above that needs to happen. So, yeah, the drama definitely isn’t over.
