No one was as displeased about Blac Chyna and Rob Kardashian dating as the Kardashian clan, given Chyna’s complicated past with Kylie Jenner and Tyga. However, the family have since worked past their differences and welcomed Chyna into the family. But how exactly did they manage to find common ground?

Chyna and Rob Kardashian gave an interview to People magazine in which they discussed how they managed to move past their contentious relationship, and actually, it’s a pretty impressive feat.
“We’ve all talked, I’ve met up with Kylie,” Chyna told the publication, adding, “Everybody is mature. We’re not holding on to grudges. We’ve moved on.”
In fact, Chyna can appreciate the reason the Kardashian/Jenner clan didn’t welcome her with open arms initially because she notes, “Every family is going to be defensive in the beginning; I don’t care who you are or what the situation is — they’re going to be protective. But everything is positive now.”

In recent months we’ve seen a shift in the way the Kardashians feel about Chyna, with Jenner in particular taking big steps toward accepting her (the pair have even posed for selfies together). But just because they’ve gotten to the point where they’re not butting heads doesn’t mean that Kardashian and Chyna will be going on double-dates with Tyga and Jenner — at least not yet. But they can still be civil, not just for themselves, but for Tyga and Chyna’s son, King.
Chyna admits that she’s completely comfortable with Jenner being around King, and she’s “sure Tyga feels comfortable having King around Rob.” And it’s this comment that really makes us think that Chyna and Tyga are trying hard to get along and be accepting of each other’s life choices. If Chyna is willing to let her son be around Jenner (even though Jenner is currently dating her ex) and Tyga is OK with Rob playing a role in his son’s life, well, that must mean that they’re putting their differences aside for the sake of their child, right? Which we have to say is pretty darn admirable.
As for Rob, he was happy to tell the publication that his relationship with Chyna has actually helped to bring him closer than ever to his family. He said, “I see my family on a daily basis. We all support each other.”

We’re not saying everyone needs to be best friends with their exes, but it’s always nice to see when a family is willing to work past their differences and find common ground.
