Just last week there were reports that Kendall Jenner and Harry Styles were rekindling their romance, with a source telling People magazine that Jenner was “so excited about it” and that she’d always cared for Styles. But is there already trouble in paradise?

In a new report from People, a source claims that the former couple are “not officially back together,” although they are speaking and trying to figure out where they stand. However, Jenner intends to be a lot more guarded this time around, and she’s not willing to give Styles her heart straightaway (if he only intends to break it).
According to the source, she remains “hopeful” that things are going to work out with Styles, but she’s also being careful. “He’s not going to settle down, and she understands that’s just the way he is,” the source claims. “She really likes him, but her heart’s not as invested.”
That doesn’t sound too promising, right?

Styles and Jenner have been drawn to each other over the years after first being linked in January of 2014, but it looks like both of them have a lot to figure out before they are ready to commit to a long-term relationship. We can’t lie, we do hope they can make it work, because they’re pretty darn adorable together, but they are both young, and a relationship is probably not that important to either of them at this stage of their careers.
