A new Hollywood Life report claims that Swift is angling for a date with Zac Efron, whom she met when they worked together on the animated film The Lorax — they even went on a date in 2012 when they were voicing the movie together, and they’ve reportedly stayed in touch, texting and calling each other regularly. An insider told the magazine that ever since her recent breakup with Tom Hiddleston, she can’t stop gushing to her friends about Efron.

“She’s been talking about him nonstop since her breakup with Tom,” the source told the site. “She’s always said she feels a strong connection to Zac, but could never act on it because they’ve always been dating other people.”

Luckily for Swift, they’re both single right now — Efron split from his longtime girlfriend Sami Miró last spring. The reason for the split, however, was that he’s too busy with work now that he’s one of Hollywood’s it-guys, so whether he has time for a relationship with Swift remains to be seen.

For now, though, he’s interested, at least according to Hollywood Life‘s source.

“Taylor and Zac have always been pretty flirty with each other,” the insider said. “She’s reached out to Zac and told him that they should hang out and maybe go to dinner together, and he’s into it. It just hasn’t happened yet because of their schedules.”
