A lot of rumors have been spread regarding Connie Britton supposedly exiting Nashville(the rumors say she’ll be leaving halfway through Season 5), and now she’s finally gotten around to addressing the reports.

Addressing the speculation during an interview with TVLine‘s Michael Ausiello on the Emmys red carpet, Britton said, “I don’t know where that stuff [the exit rumors] came from. Like, it’s kind of crazy the things that come out.”
While Britton, who plays the role of Rayna Jaymes, didn’t exactly confirm or deny the reports that she’ll be leaving, her excitement about the future of the show seems to suggest that she’s going to be sticking around.
“But what I can tell you is we’re on CMT [the network changed from ABC to CMT] now, and we have amazing new writers that I’m so excited about, Marshall Herskovitz and Ed Zwick,” she explained.

And if she is leaving, well, then she’s set up some pretty big expectations for her exit, because according to Britton, the new season of Nashville is going to blow your mind. “It’s going to be the best writing that we’ve seen on Nashville, and it’s probably going to be the best season we’ve ever had,” she stated.
Clearly this news has got us excited, and while we hope the reports about Britton leaving aren’t true, if she is leaving, then at least she’ll be given a send-off to remember.
