The DWTS judges let loose on the most-hated performance of last night

Just because we missed hearing from the Dancing with the Stars judges last night doesn’t mean they didn’t have some strong opinions to share.

Julianne Hough, Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli had clearly been bursting at the seams to get their thoughts out about the face-off last night, and they had two full hours to get it out. And get it out they did.

Of course politician Rick Perry got the worst of the criticism. He’s been on the bottom since the get-go, and the lack of improvement had the judges clearly frustrated.

The judges all agreed that Perry’s dancing was stiff, though Hough really tried to pay him a compliment by saying she was happy he was dancing with his hips forward. She tried, right? Honestly, I’m glad Perry went home tonight, since I think he was the fair star to be sent packing. He has consistently pulled the weakest performances, so it was only right that he be the one to go. So in the end, the face-off got the results it should have.

If Terra Jole had been the one sent packing, I would have been upset. She’s really grown in the past couple of episodes, and I think she could have a strong journey on Season 23 if given a chance.

Even though I thought the presidential debate was definitely worth having a shorter DWTS episode Monday night, I’ll be glad for next week when the show is back to its regular format. Twelve back-to-back dances is too much. At least I remembered just how much I appreciate the judges’ commentary along the way.

Though, they don’t even have to speak to get me laughing.

Are you glad Rick Perry was the star sent packing this week on DWTS?
