Shannen Doherty is going through an incredibly difficult time in her life, but thankfully she isn’t battling breast cancer on her own: Her husband of five years, Kurt Iswarienko, is right by her side.

On Monday, Doherty took to Instagram to pay tribute to Iswarienko and gush about the incredible love and unwavering support he has given her. She shared a photo from their wedding day, and she gave it a tear-jerking caption — seriously, we dare you to not cry while reading it.

Doherty began by saying she had accepted the “Love Your Spouse Challenge” from her good friend Sarah Michelle Gellar, and she was particularly thankful for the challenge, because when looking through old photos, she came across one from their wedding day. “Our wedding was exceptional and not for the big event it was. It was exceptional because we committed for better or worse, in sickness or in health to love and cherish one another,” she wrote. “Those vows have never meant more than they do now. Kurt has stood by my side thru sickness and makes me feel more loved now than ever. I would walk any path with this man. Take any bullet for him and slay every dragon to protect him. He is my soul mate. My other half. I am blessed.”
