Kim Kardashian has no doubt had a few unpleasant run-ins with fans and even a couple of encounters with celebrity prankster Vitalii Sediuk, but nothing could have prepared her for what happened to her on Sunday night in Paris, France.

Kardashian was in Paris (one of her favorite cities) for Paris Fashion Week when her trip took a nightmarish turn that resulted in her being held at gunpoint in her luxury residence on Rue Tronchet, near the Madeleine church. According to TheGuardian, the robbers — two masked men dressed as police officers — handcuffed the concierge before ordering him to show them where Kardashian was staying.
During the incident, Kardashian was reportedly tied up in her bathroom. The thieves got away with a jewelry box containing valuables worth $6.7 million, as well as a ring worth $4.6 million and mobile telephones. Police said the robbers escaped on bicycles.
Kardashian’s spokesperson confirmed the news in a statement to E! News, telling the site, “Kim Kardashian West was held up at gunpoint inside her Paris hotel room this evening by two armed masked men dressed as police officers.”
Kardashian’s husband, Kanye West, had been performing at the Meadows Music and Arts Festival in New York, but was forced to cut his set short to rush to his wife’s aid. West told fans, “I’m sorry, family emergency. I have to stop the show.”

Kardashian reportedly left France on Monday morning in a private jet after giving a statement to police.
This situation is absolutely awful — nothing about it is even remotely funny. You don’t have to like Kim Kardashian or the way she lives her life to realize that this ordeal was terrifying for her and not something that should be made into a joke. Kim has yet to publicly address her ordeal, but she deserves nothing but support and love during this time.
