A couple of weeks ago, Kardashian West was robbed at gunpoint by masked intruders who broke into the apartment where she was staying in Paris. They made off with close to $10 million in jewelry after tying up Kardashian West and leaving her in a bathtub.
Kardashian West was, understandably, super-shaken by the incident. Normally the queen of all social media, she’s stayed off all her accounts since the robbery. Reports say she’s focusing on taking extra measures to keep her family safe in the future, and that includes increasing her security presence.

Page Six reports that Kardashian West has met with a number of people, hoping to find the right mix of guards to add to her security detail. Those meetings reportedly included ex-Israeli army members, Secret Service agents and former CIA officials. TMZ reports that the new plan is for Kardashian West to have no fewer than two armed guards with her at all times.
Reports haven’t shown yet whether the new security detail will include Kardashian West’s longtime guard Pascal Duvier, whom she praised on Twitter after he took down a prankster who was attempting to assault her in Paris. At the time of the robbery, Duvier was at a nightclub with some of Kardashian West’s sisters.
Kardashian West’s mom, Kris Jenner, is also reportedly hiring more security for the rest of the famous family, including Kourtney and Khloé Kardashian and Kendall and Kylie Jenner.
Suspects in the Paris robbery haven’t been claimed, but police have reportedly recovered one of the jewelry pieces they stole and are analyzing it for DNA evidence.
