Reports are saying that newly divorced Bethenny Frankel has big plans with her new man, Dennis Shields. First on the list? Apparently, the couple wants a baby via a surrogate.
Frankel is already mom to 6-year-old daughter Bryn with her ex-husband, Jason Hoppy. An insider told Life & Style magazine that while Frankel is sure she wants to add to her brood, she’s “about to turn 46 and she’s not delusional about wanting to carry a child at her age. But Bethenny has always wanted a sibling for Bryn.”
While this could be very happy news for Frankel as she moves on from the end of her marriage, not everyone is there to celebrate with her. Her estranged mom, Bernadette Birk, actually had some nasty things to say about the idea of Frankel having another baby.

“I think it’s stupid, because she can’t even take care of [Bryn],” Birk said. “She’s all over the place. Really, is she going to have a baby to cement the relationship with this new guy? I don’t know. Bethenny always has a reason for everything she does.”
Harsh words.
But it’s nobody’s place to make this decision but Frankel’s. She’s actually already tried for another baby. She had a miscarriage five years ago, and she reportedly can’t have kids of her own anymore after that, so a surrogate may be her best bet. And with all the drama Frankel brings to RHONY, we can’t help but think having something positive to focus on, like raising a new baby, could be a great thing for her.
