Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton‘s romance is arguably one of the most talked-about celebrity relationships, and as the pair approaches their one-year anniversary, all eyes are on them and their next steps. (Will marriage happen in the near future? How about babies?).

During the course of their relationship, neither Shelton nor Stefani has been reluctant to gush about their significant other — so why stop now? In an interview with People magazine, Stefani remarked about how quickly the last year has flown by, referring to it as “weird,” and also commented on how this time last year she was taking her kids (she shares three sons with her ex-husband, Gavin Rossdale) “to see The Sound of Music for [her] birthday.”
But she was also keen to share how happy she is to have a man like Shelton in her life. “I can’t say anything, but I’m so blessed,” Stefani said of her relationship, adding, “It’s just crazy how much happened, you know what I mean? So many beautiful memories.”

Stefani and Shelton have been very open about their relationship, even mixing business with pleasure (she even recently joined him onstage in Dallas, Texas, to sing their hit song, “Go Ahead and Break My Heart”), and while there has been some opposition to their relationship, for the most part people are happy for them — something which Stefani is incredibly grateful for.
“We feel it,” she told the publication, speaking about the support from both her and Shelton’s fans. “I was saying yesterday to somebody, I really feel the love, you know what I mean? It’s hard to put into words, but it’s a really cool thing to have that.”

Stefani and Shelton’s approach to their relationship is very different from a lot of other celebs who try to keep their private life and their relationships as secretive as possible. Instead, they want the world to know how much they mean to each other, and that certainly allows fans to feel closer and engage better with them both.
We’re so happy that they found each other in their times of need, and we hope their happiness continues for years to come.
