New reports have broken this week stating that the notoriously private Jennifer Lawrence is secretly dating director Darren Aronofsky.
Aronofsky, whose works include Black Swan and The Wrestler, was previously engaged to and has a 10-year-old son with Rachel Weisz, but apparently he and Lawrence have been spotted on intimate dates together as of late.

“Jennifer and Darren have tried to keep things low-key and under wraps but they are really into each other,” a source tells The Sun, via the Daily Mail. “Recently Jennifer was working on a grueling project and she relied on Darren for support and they were in constant contact. It seemed to show they were the real deal.”

Still, it’s a new relationship and they’re taking it slow, according to another source.
“They’ve been hanging out and are casually dating,” one of Lawrence’s friends told People.
Being that the age gap between Aronofsky and Lawrence is over 20 years, and it’s the second alleged relationship in the past year that Lawrence has been in with a sizeable age difference (the other being with Coldplay’s Chris Martin), it’s easy to launch into the whole “she’s obviously into older men” conversation.
But so what if she is?
Lawrence is a hard-working professional who has battled to help conquer the Hollywood wage gap. Despite the goofy personality that she presents to the public, she’s also mature beyond her years when it comes to onscreen emotional intelligence, and her powerful essay about sexism in Hollywood was totally insightful.

So is JLaw attracted to men who are much older than she is? She says no, because she doesn’t have a “type.”
“Patterns are the work of the devil,” she told Harper’s Bazaar. “If I think about all of my ex-boyfriends, they are all so uncomparable.”
Still, we think she has more than earned the right to choose who she wants to date — without outside judgment.
Now tell us: How do you feel about relationships with a huge age gap? Do they work, or is Lawrence wasting her time?
