Now we’ll never know the truth about Katie Holmes & Jamie Foxx’s romance

We’ve been trying to decode Jamie Foxx and Katie Holmes‘ mysterious affair for three whole years, but now it seems we may never know the truth about what really went on between the two of them. At least not if Foxx has anything to do with it.

According to an inside source, Foxx has ended his relationship with Holmes — all because she wanted to shout their love from the mountain tops, and he isn’t comfortable making things official.

“Jamie is tired of being pressured by Katie into going public,” the source told Radar Online. “He’s asked for a few months out and made no promise he’ll be available after that.”

The source also added that Foxx was into being with Holmes when it was “super-discreet,” but once the media got ahold of their coupling, he hated the scrutiny.

Holmes and Foxx have reportedly been dating on the down-low since 2013, but both deny the relationship. However, they were spotted together on a date at a Barbra Streisand concert in August, and in June, Foxx’s good friend Claudia Jordan of The Real Housewives of Atlanta fame accidentally confirmed that Foxx and Holmes are, indeed, an item.

“He is very happy with her,” Jordan said during a podcast interview. “I like that he seems very happy.”

Radar Online‘s insider reports that Holmes is extremely sad about the recent breakup, which makes it all the more sad.

“It’s heartbreaking for Katie, who would marry him in a heartbeat if he were keen,” the insider revealed. “She’s hoping he’ll change his mind and come running back, which, to be fair, he’s done numerous times before.”

Sure sounds like Foxx might not be saying goodbye for good, but just goodbye for now. Something tells us this couple isn’t completely kaput.

What do you think? Are Foxx and Holmes dunzo, or will Foxx come back around?
