Sadly, Brad Pitt’s Child Services nightmare is far from over

It’s been a bumpy road for Brad Pitt since Angelina Jolie filed for divorce, and — if the most recent rumors are true — things won’t be getting easier for him any time soon.

Pitt, who was already under investigation by the Los Angeles Department of Children and Family Services for allegedly being abusive toward one of his kids on a Sept. 14 flight from France, has now been hit with another accusation of child abuse.

A reported inside source says that Pitt’s original investigation — which was scheduled to be concluded by the end of October — has now been prolonged because of the new accusation.

“The investigation… was not closed on schedule for a reason,” the source told In Touch magazine. “The DCFS investigation is now going to continue for at least several more weeks.”

Another source claims that a new probe will be launched, and Pitt, Jolie, their six children and people close to the family will have to be reinterviewed by social workers.

“Now DCFS is interviewing many people to determine if they are witnesses to any improper behavior by Brad as well as searching for oth­ers who have knowledge of his ac­tions. That includes nannies, house­hold staff members and more,” the second source told In Touch. “The fact that the investigation was extended is an indication of how serious this is.”

For his part, Pitt has admitted to yelling at his son Maddox during the Sept. 14 flight from France to the U.S., but he insists that the altercation never escalated to physical violence. Other sources close to Pitt allege that Jolie is the driving force behind all of the abuse allegations popping up against Pitt.

“Angelina is putting out the [abuse] story to take the kids away from him,” an insider told Page Six at the end of September. “Angelina’s team’s campaign to smear him is so aggressive.”

But then again, there are also reports floating around that there’s actually a glimmer of hope for Brangelina to get back together, so who knows how credible any of these “inside sources” really are?
