Another collaboration between Bruno Mars and Adele is something we’d usually be extremely excited about (the pair previously worked on the track “All I Ask” together). Both artists are extremely talented and their voices are hauntingly beautiful, so it seems like a match made in heaven, right?

Maybe not, because we’re Mars made some comments about Adele she might not be too pleased about. During a press visit on KTU’s Cubby & Carolina Bermudez In The Morning, Mars referred to her as a “diva.”
He started off being very complimentary of Adele and her talent, saying, “She’s incredible. There was a moment when she was singing in the booth – and I’m not exaggerating at all – and the water was vibrating… like, you know, that scene in Jurassic Park. She’s got some pipes on her, and she’s just a superstar.”

But things took a turn when Mars revealed his first impression of Adele. He said, “She walks into the studio, she’s got all this attitude, she’s a diva, she’s like, ‘I don’t want to do this. I don’t like that.'” He continued, “And then as soon as we hit a couple chords that she liked, we started rolling, and that’s where we got that song from.”
So what if Adele had a few opinions on how she wanted the track to turn out? Is Mars really intimidated by that? She’s got a strong voice — not just in the booth — but when she’s expressing her opinions, and heck, she should. It’s her career too. Adele is a serious artist, and if she has a vision she wants to uphold when it comes to her music, we say let the “nasty woman” run free!
That said, Mars did have other good things to say about Adele, and he definitely wants to work with her in the future.

“I don’t know what she’s waiting on, man. I’m like come on Adele, like, send an email, let me know!” Does he know email works two ways?
